POSITION SUMMARY:

 

To help maintain all the district’s physical facilities and grounds in a condition of operating excellence to insure their full educational use at all times.

 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 

High School diploma or GED equivalent; Must have at least two years of experience in general maintenance work; Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.

 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

 

  1. Responsibility for the proper use, care, and inventory of all hand tools, equipment, machinery, and materials used on job assignments and tasks.
  2. Responsibility to perform all general maintenance tasks/assignments that may include basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, grounds work, and/or custodial functions and skills at all of the district’s facilities and grounds.
  3. Recommends to the immediate supervisor of supplies and/or equipment needed to perform general maintenance tasks required for the proper upkeep of all the district facilities and grounds.
  4. Assumes responsibility to complete accurately and timely all required paper work associated with assigned job tasks and duties.
  5. Examines district-owned facilities and grounds on a regular basis for purposes of preventive maintenance.

6.     Performs other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
